Powered by DisplayLink software, this robust dock turns your laptop into a full-fledged workstation, complete with essential connectivity including three Thunderbolt 4 ports for demanding peripherals and two HDMI ports for external monitors. Combining its TB4 and HDMI ports enables the use of up to four simultaneous external monitors at up to 4K at 60 Hz for Windows and select Mac systems.

It features two 10 Gb/s USB-A ports for mice, keyboards, and even external storage. Creatives alike can utilize the built-in UHS-II SD card reader, while never missing a beat thanks to 96W of charging power to your laptop. Maintain a stable network connection when streaming or conferencing with Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. You can even plug your favorite headset into the 3.5mm combo audio jack for private listening. For added security, this dock lets you connect a Kensington Lock to prevent potential theft.

Quad 4K External Display
The docking station supports up to four external monitors, delivering crisp and smooth 4K resolution at 60 Hz. For those with high-end monitors, this unit is capable of resolutions up to 8K at 30 Hz on a single display. DisplayLink software is required for optimal device operation for your Windows or Mac based system.
Thunderbolt 4
The dock connects to your Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 equipped host device with a single cable to unlock three downstream Thunderbolt 4 ports, with up to 40 Gb/s transfer speeds for offloading photos, video, or large data files.
Pass-Through Charging
This dock enables up to 96W pass-through charging and 15W charging for connected Thunderbolt 4 devices, ensuring you're never low on power.
Compatibility
The dock is fully compatible with Windows 10 or later, macOS 11 or later, and DisplayLink software installation. Support for four external displays is available for Mac systems with M1/M2 Pro/Max and M3 Pro/Max chips. Support for up to three external displays is offered for base Apple M1/M2 chip systems, Windows 10 devices with Thunderbolt 3, and ChromeOS.

Had an issue with my device. They sent me a replacement for free, and I've had no issues since! It works for both my windows device and my girlfriends Macbook. I run two monitors off of it and a wireless mouse. I use the SD port without issue as well.

Top end docking station that supports multiple 4k

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very impressive 4k docking station that is able to handle many services without a hiccup. The docking station is very slim and light although it does have a relatively large power adapter similar to laptops. I was able to connect my laptop to a 32 inch 4k monitor in addition to a 19 inch portable monitor without any issues at all. It helped clear up my desk space and I no longer have to plug a bunch of cables into my laptop. This is the most compact and fully featured 4k docking station I have used so far. It's a really stellar product!

Will an HDMI to Thunderbolt cable work natively with the Thunderbolt ports on this dock when connected to an M4 Mac Mini?

If you are trying to use this Plugable Thunderbolt 4 Quad Video Docking Station with Thunderbolt connection to an M4 Mini, and trying to connect to a monitor with HDMI or Thunderbolt input, you can do that without the need for any adapter cables. This docking station has two HDMI ports as well as three Thunderbolt ports, which you can use to output video to a display.

MANUFACTURER ANSWER: To the best of our knowledge, a 2019 Apple MacBook Pro laptop with an Intel processor is compatible with the Plugable TBT-6950PD docking station. *** Important note, an Intel Mac must have macOS 11 Big Sur or a newer macOS version (such as macOS 12 Monterey, macOS 13 Ventura, macOS 14 Sonoma, or macOS 15 Sequoia) installed in order to be compatible with Thunderbolt 4/USB4 products, such as the TBT-6950PD. Earlier versions of macOS do NOT support Thunderbolt 4 or USB4. ***
