This was my first sets of FlexiGels. Throughout my 25+ year career I have always just used the traditional sheets of gels you can buy. And I still use sheet gels for things like CTO, but these vivid gels are a quick add when you want to add some funky color to your scene in the case of fun fashion or high tech scientific editorial portrait looks. For my style of shooting I was planning on using them on my kickers as a colorful rim light or to add to the background. So for that reason I would recommend grabbing two sets if you want to have equal colors on your left and right kickers.

The Westcott FlexiGels for FJ400, FJ400 II & FJ800 Strobes (Vivid) are meant to be used with the Westcott Flash tube. If they happen to be the same dimension as an Elinchrom 500 or Elinchrom Five flash tube, then they will be compatible.
