DJI DJI Mic Mini Overview

The DJI Mic Mini Clip-On Transmitter is a white transmitter with a built-in microphone for seamless audio recording. Use in tandem with a separately available receiver, expand your preexisting Mic Mini wireless system, or connect to a mobile device/Osmo series camera via Bluetooth. The transmitter utilizes both 2.4 GHz digital and Bluetooth technology to communicate with the dual-channel receiver or your compatible Osmo camera from up to 1312' away.

When the transmitter cannot detect a signal from the receiver unit, it automatically enters sleep mode to preserve battery life. The DJI Mimo app allows you to set a time of inactivity after which the transmitter unit will power completely off. Bluetooth connection with the Mimo app can toggle noise cancelling during video recording with compatible devices. A built-in rechargeable battery can run for up to 11.5 hours at a time and can be recharged with the included charging dock or separately available charging case.

After years of "your audio is choppy" and "what was that??" on Zoom calls, I finally have reliable audio. The mics have great quality. The receiver sleekly plugs into my laptop. Having 2 mics is amazing when I'm not the only one using audio that day. The magnets make them wearable. I have no complaints!!

Right out of the box the DJI mic was easy to set and and use. I have used it for two weeks now and it is really great for my AI recording for training sessions with clients.

Can the Charging Doc be used as a stand AND charge the mini while recording?

Unfortunately not; the DJI Mic Mini Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Microphone (2.4 GHz, Arctic White) cannot record while charging, and the charger cannot be used as a stand.

You have in the specs that it has 400m of range. Is that when using BT or is that ONLY with the receiver? What is the BT range?

The maximum operating distance for the DJI Mic Mini Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Microphone is listed as 1312.3' (400m). This is for both standard transmission to the receiver and the range for Bluetooth 5.3.

If I buy this for the Pocket Osmo 3, do I need anything other than this mic? I assume the Osmo has an internal receiver? This will auto connect to the Osmo?

The DJI Mic Mini Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Microphone (2.4 GHz, Arctic White) is compatible for use with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and will connect wirelessly to the Osmo's built-in receiver without the need for any other equipment.

Is it possible to have three of these microphones operating at the same time in the same room?

Yes, it is possible to use 3 of the DJI Mic Mini Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Microphone (2.4 GHz, Infinity Black) simultaneously in the same room, but only if you have 2 receivers. Each receiver can be paired with up to 2 transmitters, so you would be able to operate up to 4 transmitters at the same time. You can either use 2 of the DJI Mic Mini 2-Person Compact Wireless Microphone System for Camera & Smartphone (2.4 GHz), which is B&H # DJMM2TX1RXCC, or a single 2-person system and a single DJI Mic Mini Compact Wireless Microphone System for Camera & Smartphone (2.4 GHz), which is B&H # DJMM1TX1RX.

The DJI Mic 2 camera adapter is exclusively compatible with Sony cameras that support the Mi hot shoe. If the camera adapter is connected to the camera and a prompt indicates that the camera is not compatible, it may also indicate that the camera does not support Mi hot shoe, which leads to the inability to recognize the DJI Mic 2 camera adapter. In such cases, it is advised to utilize a 3.5 mm camera cable for connection instead.

It does not feature a dedicated switch for this, but it can toggle between mono/stereo or mono safety thru the Mimo app.
