DJI Mic Mini Overview

The DJI Mic Mini Clip-On Transmitter is a black transmitter with a built-in microphone for seamless audio recording. Use in tandem with a separately available receiver, expand your preexisting Mic Mini wireless system, or connect to a mobile device/Osmo series camera via Bluetooth. The transmitter utilizes both 2.4 GHz digital and Bluetooth technology to communicate with the dual-channel receiver or your compatible Osmo camera from up to 1312' away.

When the transmitter cannot detect a signal from the receiver unit, it automatically enters sleep mode to preserve battery life. The DJI Mimo app allows you to set a time of inactivity after which the transmitter unit will power completely off. Bluetooth connection with the Mimo app can toggle noise cancelling during video recording with compatible devices. A built-in rechargeable battery can run for up to 11.5 hours at a time and can be recharged with the included charging dock or separately available charging case.

I'm a huge fan of these.. I purchased 5 of them and they are all going strong.. I really like that I can use them both with the included adaptor or as a simple Bluetooth mic that works with my students' phones if you use the right app to record. I also like that the cable needed to use it with a regular camera fits inside the charging box. It keeps everything together. It has a good range and decent battery life.

Is it possible to have three of these microphones operating at the same time in the same room?

Yes, it is possible to use 3 of the DJI Mic Mini Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Microphone (2.4 GHz, Infinity Black) simultaneously in the same room, but only if you have 2 receivers. Each receiver can be paired with up to 2 transmitters, so you would be able to operate up to 4 transmitters at the same time. You can either use 2 of the DJI Mic Mini 2-Person Compact Wireless Microphone System for Camera & Smartphone (2.4 GHz), which is B&H # DJMM2TX1RXCC, or a single 2-person system and a single DJI Mic Mini Compact Wireless Microphone System for Camera & Smartphone (2.4 GHz), which is B&H # DJMM1TX1RX.

Is this all I would need to add a wireless mic to my Osmo 8 Mobile? It seems like the included tracker is also a receiver.

Dear customer, thank you for your inquiry. There are two ways to connect the DJI Mic Mini transmitter to the Osmo Mobile 8: Transmitter Bluetooth connection:1. DJI Mic Mini transmitter can be connected with your cell phone first by Bluetooth connection; 2. Mount the cell phone to Osmo Mobile 8 cell phone clip and complete the balance adjustment. 3. Open Mimo APP, search for connectingOsmo Mobile 8 gimbal, enter the shooting interface can be normal recording, and through the Mic Mini recording. Linking with the DJI OM Multifunctional Module: 1. Mount the “Multifunctional Module” onto the "Magnetic Phone Clamp"; 2. Use the "Phone Charging/Audio Recording Cable" to connect the “Multifunctional Module” and the “Phone”; 3. Press and hold the Link Button on the “Multifunctional Module” for 2 seconds to enter Bluetooth linking mode. 4. Turn on DJI Mic Mini TX 5. Press and hold the DJI Mic Mini TX Link Button to enter linking mode; 6. After a moment, the linking will be successful, and the indicators on both the "Multifunctional Module" and DJI Mic Mini TX will turn solid green, indicating that audio recording can begin. Yes, the DJI Mic Mini Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Microphone (2.4 GHz, Infinity Black) may be used together with the DJI Mic 2 Clip-On Transmitter/Recorder with Built-In Microphone (2.4 GHz, Shadow Black) included with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo for a two-person interview. The Osmo Pocket 3 has a built-in wireless receiver that allows connection of up to two DJI Mic Mini or DJI Mic 2 wireless transmitters.

The DJI Mic Mini Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Microphone (2.4 GHz, Infinity Black) does not require the DJI Mimo app to work. The app is designed for use with the Osmo Pocket, Osmo Mobile, and Osmo Action cameras.
