Pelican AEGIS SX5 Sling Reviews
Great sling!
Great sling!
Amazing quality with one HUGE error...
Like all pelican products, this bag is indeed designed to last a life time. It looks good and I found it to be the perfect size and very functional until... Recently I went on a trip and I purchased this bag. Inside of it I kept a 70-200mm sigma lens and a few spare batteries. After about five minutes of having it on my shoulder I heard a squeaking sound and it never went away. At first it was subtle but after a while thats all I could hear and it made the bag useless given that I mainly do documentary work. The problem with this bag is that the hinges for the strap are plastic and when you have anything inside of it that weighs more than 1-2 lbs, the plastic rubs against itself and it makes an awful sound . It sounds like a very squeaky door is being pushed back and forth. Its loud enough for anyone to hear it within 20 feet (at least). Luckily I was able to return it. Very disappointed. :(
