SmallRig LP-E6NH 4-Channel Camera Battery Charger

The LP-E6NH 4-Channel Camera Battery Charger from SmallRig features four integrated battery charging slots that support Canon and third-party LP-E6NH batteries. The charger is powered using a USB-C PD input that provides fast 60W power input to simultaneously charge all four of your batteries quickly.

The LED display provides real-time status of your batteries, including voltages, model information, current, temperature, and more. There are multiple built-in short circuit and overcurrent protections to keep your gear safe.

As at least one other reviewer said, it worked great - until it didn't. I used it one day, put it on to charge overnight and now the camera tells me the battery needs to be replaced and is not charged. Mine was less than a year old.

After doing research on third-party replacement batteries, I bought three of these SmallRig LP-E6NH batteries for my Canon R6 Mark II and BG-R10 battery grip. I haven't yet tested them in the field, but I have used SmallRig products, including batteries, for both my Canon and Fujifilm cameras, and feel confident that my most recent purchase will also work out fine. I did charge them up - two in the BG-R10 and one in my LC-E6 charger - and they charged fully.

Unfortunately, no, the SmallRig LP-E6NH USB-C Rechargeable Camera Battery cannot be plugged into the USB-C cable while the battery is in the camera due to the USB-C input location.

Yes, if you don't want to plug the USB-C cable directly to the SmallRig LP-E6NH USB-C Rechargeable Camera Battery, you can use the SmallRig LP-E6NH Camera Battery Charger to charge the battery.

You cannot use the SmallRig LP-E6NH USB-C Rechargeable Camera Battery while it is plugged in to AC power.

I read somewhere that some features on the R5m2, like pre-capture, won't work with non-Canon batteries. Is that the case here?

The SmallRig LP-E6NH USB-C Battery can be used in the Canon R5 Mark 2 camera. However, there are limitations such as no network capabilities, no 8k video, no high FPS video, no multi function shoe accessories, and slower drive speeds. The SmallRig LP-E6P USB-C Battery (2520mAh, Orange), BH # SM5407 MFR # 5407, would be the better choice for the Canon R5 Mark 2 camera.

The SmallRig LP-E6NH USB-C Rechargeable Camera Battery has been tested on the R5 for speed, but chances are, for the best speed, the Canon-branded battery would be the better option.
