What is “Digital “ stabilization mean as opposed to IBIS?
Asked by: Steven
Digital stabilization, like in the Nikon Z50 II Mirrorless Camera, refers to stabilization that's performed by the camera simulating IBIS but cropping the video to make it visually more stable. IBIS, on the other hand, is performed by a stabilization mechanism the sensor of the camera is mounted to that can physically move around to counteract shakes and vibrations the camera experiences.
