Elvid MIVIDCON-3GS-HD Reviews

A lovely SDI to HDMI converter kit!

So I've owned the Blackmagic SDI to HDMI converter for some time now and my biggest gripe about that one was how it never came with its own proprietary power solution! I try my best not to use these devices on my camera rig itself but rather in a multi camera studio use scenario. Happy to see this product came with its own power supply. The build itself is really strong, the SDI ports are firm and the USB and HDMI seem to have a strong connection in the ports themselves. I didn't have any problem in my signal when I tested this out. Love what elvid did with this product here. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review.]

This device does not pass audio from SDI to the HDMI. The video looks good, but no audio…

See any errors on this page?

does these units convert, (or downscale 4K cameras to 1080-60p?) or do we have to send only a 1080 signal to the device?

The Elvid 3G-SDI to HDMI Micro Video Converter does not scale; you would have to set your output to a compatible resolution and frame rate.
