Get The Counterweight!

Very nice stand! But, with the counterweight you won’t knock the stand over by lightly brushing into the overhanging mic as I do from time to time. The obvious purpose is to account for the greater weight of today’s electrified mics. Cool.

Super sturdy and solid !

Needed this for recording a band and these are way more sturdy and reliable than other cheaper brands. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more for your mics not to be slowly falling down throughout a session and changing the sound

This has a standard 5/8" thread that will accept any microphone clip that is designed for studio use. If you are asking about a microphine built for video or on camera use you may need an adapter.

You can use a thread adapter such as the Auray AD-5838-B 5/8"-27 Female to 3/8"-16 Male Mic Stand Adapter (B&H # AUAD5838B) to mount the Rode VideoMic GO II Shotgun Microphone on the 5/8" male thread at the tip of the boom arm on the K&M 210/9 Tripod Microphone Stand with Telescoping Boom. There is a 3/8" female thread on the bottom of the shoe mount for the VideoMic GO II.
