Designed for socket AM5 motherboards using the powerful Zen 5 4nm architecture, this Ryzen processor offers exceptional performance. With a base clock speed of 4.3 GHz and a max boost clock speed of 5.7 GHz, the Ryzen 9 9950X delivers the power needed to smoothly handle tasks ranging from content creation to immersive gaming experiences. You can boost performance further by overclocking this unlocked processor. Other features include support for PCIe Gen 5 technology and 5600 MHz ECC DDR5 RAM with compatible motherboards.

This processor has a 170W TDP (Thermal Design Power) and does not include a cooling solution. Integrated Radeon Graphics delivers rich visuals.

ASUS ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi AM5 ATX Motherboard

Designed primarily for creative professionals and enthusiasts, the ASUS ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi AM5 ATX Motherboard supports up to AMD 8000 and 9000 series socket AM5 processors while providing robust connectivity to enhance your workflow.

Four DDR5 DIMM slots are available, supporting up to 256GB of 8000+ MT/s memory for smooth multitasking, large projects, and demanding applications. For storage, you can install up to two M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 SSDs alongside one PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 and an M.2 22110 drive. There are also four SATA III connectors. Install up to two PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion cards, which can work in x16 or x8/x8 modes, in addition to a PCIe 4.0 x16 card in x4 mode. With two USB4 ports on the rear panel, you can connect 40 Gb/s compatible devices or a USB-C compatible 8K display.     Works great for me with everything from gaming to photo/video editing, if and when you undervolt watch for core stretching in low power and idle usage of your P.C. but I get up to 24650 in cinebench r23 and 9174 in cinebench r26. (undervolting tutorials on YouTube)

    The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X is a very fast and capable CPU. I'm using it with a CORSAIR NAUTILUS RS 360mm AIO liquid cooler and 3 stock case fans. So far, temps are great — around 100°F (37.8°C) at idle and 118°F (47.8°C) under load. It seems to automatically boost its clock speeds, which is impressive. As someone coming from Intel, I’m a bit nervous about long-term stability, but I’ll update this review if I encounter any issues. I bought it for video editing, AI work, and graphic design, paired with an NVIDIA 5070 Ti, and I’m quite happy — though it might be a bit of overkill for some users.
