This Rotating Side Handle with Trigger REC from SmallRig provides a secure grip for your camera, cage, or rig with 1/4"-20 threads or a NATO rail. This aluminum handle can be configured for either right- or left-side use and can rotate 360° for optimal positioning using a quick-unlock button. It also includes a 2" NATO rail with two 1/4"-20 screws to mount onto a cage or rig that does not include its own NATO rail. A battery slot in the bottom allows you to power accessories via USB-C PD fast charging with an optional L-series battery.

No, the SmallRig Rotating Side Handle with Trigger REC for Select Sony Cameras is only designed for select Sony cameras very specifically and is not compatible with the EOS R8 Mirrorless Camera. There is a Canon variant that is.

Yes, the SmallRig Rotating Side Handle 3893 works with the Sony FX30 as long as your FX30 is in a cage that has a side NATO rail. The handle connects to the camera with a USB-C cable.

At this moment, Smallrig says the SmallRig Rotating Side Handle with Trigger REC for Select Sony Cameras is compatible with the following SONY camera models. They do not list the A6500. Sony Alpha 7 III / Alpha 7 IV / Alpha 7R III / Alpha 7R IV / Alpha 7R V / Alpha 7S III / FX3 / FX30 / Alpha 1 / Alpha 1 II / Alpha 9 / Alpha 9 II / Alpha 9 III
