The Phone Quick Release Plate would normally be used with Phones without a case. However if the case is thin it would probably fit without having to remove the phone's case when using the Hohem MT2.

Is this gimbal compatible with action cams like the DJI Osmo Action 6?
The Hohem iSteady MT2 3-Axis Smartphone and Camera Gimbal Stabilizer (BH # HOISTEADYMT2) should work with most action cameras similar to the DJI OSMO Action 6. A 1/4"-20 female adapter will be required depending upon the specific camera being mounted.

Many times gimbals like the Hohem iSteady MT2 3-Axis Smartphone and Camera Gimbal Stabilizer do work with more cameras then are listed in the compatibility chart. Specially if the camera was introduced after the gimbal was released.
