OM SYSTEM RM-WR2 Reviews
Do not buy the RM-WR2.
It does not work with the OM 3 camera even though the SKU on B&H's website says it does. Plus, B&H's Customer Support and Sales reps seemed to have become disconnected from each other. I've been buying camera equipment from B&H for over twenty years and this is the first time I've been disappointed by their customer service attitude. I know Ben is just doing his job but something has changed internally. Maybe the move to the new bigger building means they have less time for small loyal customer. Has anyone else noticed a change in B&H's customer care?
Excellent Wireless Remote Control
The RM-WR2 is smaller than it looks in a photo and is easy to carry in a camera bag or pocket. The RM-WR2 works reliably and the built-in LED flashes to either confirm the camera took a shot or to indicate there was a connection problem that prevented taking the shot. It works well with my OM-1 and OM-3 cameras. When doing landscape photography I have those set to focus only by pushing the AF-ON button. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the RM-WR2 will auto focus those cameras even with the AF-ON (only) setting. The RM-WR2 cannot be used when OI.Share is connected to the camera, or vice versa. It's easy to switch from one to the other by adjusting the camera's Wireless Shutter Setting. I'm very happy with this control.
