Adjustable Counterweight
The adjustable counterweight is great for balancing large-diaphragm microphones with the boom fully extended. Position the sliding 2.2 lb counterweight anywhere along the boom arm for the most balanced and stable microphone setup.

Wide steel shafts and legs provide all the stability needed to hold gear steady, even at maximum height and extension.
Ratchet Handle Tilt Lock
The boom arm can tilt up to 90° up and down, providing plenty of microphone placement options. The ratchet handle lets you tighten the tilt lock with one hand while you're supporting the boom with your other hand.

This Auray MS-SB1W Studio Boom Stand has quickly become my go-to mic stands in the studio. It’s sturdy, well-built, and has the professional feel you want when positioning overhead mics for music or video production. The steel construction gives it a solid, stable base, and the locking casters make it easy to roll into place and lock down securely once you have it positioned. The adjustable counterweight is a great feature for balancing heavier microphones (or something else you want extended out), especially when the boom is fully extended. I also really like the large knobs that allow you to tighten things down firmly without slipping. Between the height range, boom reach, and smooth movement, it’s incredibly versatile and easy to quickly maneuver. For its build quality and price, this Auray stand offers excellent value. It feels like a professional piece of gear that should cost more than it does. It's been a dependable and helpful studio boom stand. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review.]
