Ideal for film and TV production, this B&H Kit bundles an Auray MS-SB2T Studio Boom Microphone Stand with a hypercardoid shotgun microphone, a universal shockmount with integrated shoe mount, and a 25' XLR microphone cable. This kit is optimized for both boom and on-camera audio capture.
The MS-SB2T Studio Boom Microphone Stand with Tripod Base from Auray is an affordable, stable, and reliable professional studio boom microphone stand for positioning overhead microphones for broadcast and music applications. It features thick steel risers that can extend to a maximum height of 7.5', with an attached telescoping boom arm that extends over 7'. The boom arm provides ±90° of adjustable tilt that makes it easy to capture the source whether you're setting up drum overheads, recording a choir, or overheads for dialog and ambient sound.
Sturdy steel tube shafts and legs assure microphone stability without wobbling. The wide footprint diameter is fortified with leg struts, and an adjustable counterweight makes sure the stand will remain stable and balanced, even when boomed at full extension and maximum height.
The Senal MC24-ES is a phantom-powered short shotgun microphone that delivers broadcast-quality sound in the studio or on location. It maximizes the rejection of sound coming from the sides and rear of the mic and can be used as a directional microphone to capture full, rich, natural-sounding audio for speech and dialog.
Thoughtfully designed and engineered for demanding video productions, ENG, and broadcast applications, the MC24-ES delivers quality sound, and its rugged brass frame ensures it is capable of withstanding the rigors of recording in the field or on the go.
The microphone features a high-grade condenser transducer that captures detailed and accurate sound. It has a broad frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz and delivers clear sound reproduction with full lows, present mids, and crisp highs. There is a selectable high-pass filter at 180 Hz that minimizes unwanted noise and rumble.
Furthermore, the microphone runs on 48V phantom power which is available from most professional video cameras, mixing boards, or recording devices. The mic is suitable for mounting on a boompole, a mic stand, or a camera, and includes a foam windscreen, a mic clip, and a 5/8" (mic stand thread) to 3/8" (boompole thread) adapter.
The microphone is covered with a matte-black rubberized coating that reduces handling noise and ensures trouble-free recordings when being operated. The finish also rejects unwanted light reflections. It is built with a gold-plated XLR connector and comes in a leatherette pouch.
The Auray DUSM-1 Universal Shockmount features a four-point suspension to accommodate shotgun and other cylindrical microphones measuring 0.74-0.98" (19-25mm) in diameter. The shockmount is easily angled with its rubberized adjustment knob. There is a built-in shoe for camera mounting, and a 3/8"-16 thread connection at the base mounts the shockmount to boompoles and universal handgrips.
The Kopul Studio Elite 4000 Series XLR M to XLR F Microphone Cable (25') is a studio-quality cable for connecting mics to mixers, preamps, audio interfaces, and recorders or to be used in any other application where XLR connectivity is required. The cable is engineered to be both quiet and durable, and is well suited for critical recording and broadcast situations.
Studio Elite 4000 Series cables are made from 24 AWG OFC copper wire that's wrapped with PE insulation and a conductive PVC inner shield. A cotton-yarn inner layer helps reduce electrostatic and microphonic noise. A 98% braided outer shield makes the cable resistant to EMI and RFI noise. The Neutrik XX silver connectors provide a high level of connectivity, and all the solder connections are shrink-wrapped for protection.
