Add a sturdy matte box to your multi-lens rig with this Tilta Mirage Matte Box with Adapter Ring Kit assembled by B&H. The kit includes a Mirage clamp-on matte box, a circular filter tray, a removable top flag, a soft carry case, as well as 67, 72, 77, 82, and 95mm screw-on adapter rings to accommodate multiple lens diameters.
Built rugged for daily use on your camera rig yet lightweight for handheld, gimbal, stabilizer, or drone work, the Tilta Mirage Matte Box is a modular component system that clips onto 95mm OD lenses common in the film and digital cine fields. The matte box weighs about the same as a standard 4 x 5.65" glass filter, and it accepts Tilta's 95mm round filters with the included filter adapter. The modular design means you can configure the matte box to match your needs on a shot-by-shot basis.
The Mirage comes with a rigid hood and removable top flag for cutting glare and protecting your image from overhead flare. Four included lens adapters enable mounting the Mirage Matte Box on lenses with 67, 72, 77, or 82mm threaded fronts, and an included soft case helps to protect your matte box during transport and storage. An optional 4 x 5.65" stackable filter holder lets you mount 4 x 5.65" filters on the matte box. Additionally, you can mount an optional Tilta VND system for creating precise variable ND effects remotely. Other modular components, such as a top flag, dual circular filter tray, filter protector, and rubber hood for shooting up against windows, are available separately. An optional 15mm LWS rod clamp can be attached, allowing you to mount the Mirage on rods to take the weight off your lens or use lenses with rotating fronts.
Filmmakers can use the Tilta 95mm Adapter Ring to secure their Tilta Mirage matte box to a lens with a 95mm filter thread. This aluminum alloy adapter is both lightweight and sturdy, blocking light from seeping in behind your matte box. A thumbscrew on the back of the matte box clamps the adapter in place.
Note that this 95mm ring lacks a front thread for attaching a filter, it is only for supporting the Mirage matte box.
