SmallRig F60 Overview

Control your lens focus with smooth, fine adjustments using the F60 Modular Follow Focus from SmallRig. Mount this non-damping follow focus onto your rig using the included 15mm rod clamp. It is compatible with most lenses, including standard cine lenses, using its 0.8 MOD gear, and it can be used with the silicone gear and lens ring along with the M0.8-43T gear for smoother focus pulls on mirrorless/DSLR lenses.

There is a 3-step A/B stop function to set direction backward or forward, or it can rotate 360° when controlling a zoom lens. The follow focus is made from durable composite and aluminum elements, and it features a wood-grain finish. The wheel is compatible with optional industry-standard whips and cranks and SmallRig accessories such as lens gears, single or dual rod clamps, and other 15mm mounting accessories.

I like that you can flip the wheel rotating the lens allowing you to reverse focus depending on how you like to pull. Simple, little follow focus. No complaints.

The F60 does a good job for the price, it has a solid build with good mounting options. It should work well with most lenses that don’t have a heavy friction rate on their focus or zoom rings. The included rubberized gear grip ring will only work with the loosest focus or zoom rings on the lens, all others will work well with the included wrap around detachable gear drive.

Dose this model work with canon RF 70-200 USM-Z?

Follow focus solutions like the SmallRig F60 Modular Follow Focus will work with the Canon RF 70-200 lens. The SmallRig follow focus comes with a gear that you would need to attach around the lens to provide gears. This allows the follow focus to connect with the lens and turn the focus or the zoom ring.

will this work with the Nisi Aureus lenses? Would I need an adapter ring or anything like that?

NiSi AUREUS PRIME lenses have built-in gears that the SmallRig F60 Modular Follow Focus is compatible with. You will not need to add gears. The follow focus will work with the NiSi AUREUS PRIME lenses perfectly.
