Trigger the start/stop functions on your camera and control zoom, focus, and iris settings with this Wireless LANC Controller for Sony, Canon & Select Panasonic Cameras from Magnus. Boasting a pressure-sensitive rocker that facilitates stable video capture while performing smooth zooming to achieve dynamic telephoto and wide-angle shots, the controller easily mounts on your pan handle or tripod via its integrated clamp.

The included 2.4 GHz wireless receiver inserts into your camera's remote or LANC port for reliable wireless connectivity, and the unit comes with a 3.3' long LANC remote cable with a 2.5mm connector as a wired option. It features an OLED display for quick verification of recording time, battery life, and connectivity status, and two separately available AAA batteries power it.

Note: The controller is only compatible with Panasonic cameras that use the LANC protocol.

Record & Review
Start and stop recording with the press of a button and without removing your hand from the pan handle. After capturing your clip, press the review button to ensure you got the right shot.

The Magnus REX VT-6000 2-Stage Video Tripod with Fluid Head supports cameras and accessories weighing up to 17 pounds. The head accepts a sliding balance plate. It features independent pan and tilt locks with stepped pan and tilt drag, as well as a stepped counterbalance. The 75mm leveling ball provides a wide platform for balancing your camera. The head and legs combination features a height range of 29.3 to 65" and folds to 33.5" long for transport and storage.

Spiked feet and a mid-level spreader are an excellent combination for shooting on uneven terrain. The mid-level spreader has 4.25" of adjustment, allowing you to spread the legs wide. When shooting on hard or delicate surfaces, the included rubber feet may give you a better grip and protect the surface from the spikes. An included padded bag carries your tripod legs and head, and it includes a shoulder strap for ease of carry.

Fluid Head
The head features three steps of counterbalance that can be adjusted based on the size and weight of your camera and the needs of the shot.
Both pan and tilt feature three steps of drag plus a 0-setting that allows you to have the head completely free if you want.
The sliding balance camera plate features a spring-loaded locating pin and supports both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera tie-down screws (included).
The camera plate features 3.25" of travel, providing a wide range of movement to balance your camera on the head for optimum operation.
A single 1/4"-20 threaded accessory mounting hole is integrated into the head and allows you to mount a variety of accessories, including articulating arms or mounting brackets.
The head features two pan handle rosettes for left- or right-handed operation. One pan handle is included with the system and includes a rosette washer that helps protect the rosettes from stripping.
Tripod Legs
The included mid-level spreader is adjustable, allowing you to spread the legs for a more stable shot or draw them close to gain height. The legs can be closed with the spreader attached.
The legs feature independent leg spread and height adjustment, which are useful for working on uneven surfaces such as rocky terrain or stairs.
The legs feature dual-spiked feet that provide solid purchase on soft surfaces when the legs are spread wide or extended to full height.
The rubber feet attach to the spiked feet for working on delicate or hard surfaces.
An elastic line with an attached hook extends from the bottom of one of the legs, allowing you to secure the legs in a closed position for storage or transport.

Magnus REX Dolly for Tripods with Dual-Angle Spiked Feet

Enjoy smooth dolly shots or roll your camera to its next position with the Magnus REX Dolly for Tripods with Dual-Angle Spiked Feet. Designed to be used with pro video tripods with dual-angle spiked feet, it's constructed with slots for the two spikes to fit into, and a rubber strap holds the tripod securely in place once mounted. Large 4" wheels let you steer your tripod along any line. And the wheels' rubber composition won't produce noise or rumble that your microphones can pick up.

When you don't want the dolly to roll, lock the foot-operated wheels to avoid bending or kneeling to lock and unlock the wheels. The dolly features 1" square tubes that are surprisingly strong and durable with a maximum load capacity of 132 lb. Two of the legs fold down to create a compact package for transport, and the integrated carry handle will make long treks to a location easy.

For Pro Video Tripods
Pro video tripods with dual-angle spiked feet are hard to mount on a dolly due to the spikes' angles. The DSF-132 solves this problem because it's constructed with slots specifically for the dual-angle spikes, so your tripod will fit like a glove.
Large 4" Wheels
Tracking shots will add a lot of production value to your videos if the dolly glides smoothly and doesn't make a lot of noise that your mics can pick up. When you're rolling the dolly over a hard flat surface, like a stage or gym floor, the 4-inch ball-bearing rubber wheels will roll silently and won't create background noise.
Rugged Aluminum Construction
The sturdy square one-inch thick aluminum tubes will hold up to 132 LB of gear and won't bend or buckle.
Easy to Transport
When it's time to move to the next location or set, the DSF-132 won't hold you up. Loosening a single locking knob lets the dolly fold down to 22 inches. The folded legs expose the integrated suitcase-style handle so you can hold the dolly comfortably at your side while you walk.

Magnus VT-6000 Reviews

Great tripod for the price

This is a tripod with a great build to last and take the abuse of field production. The pan head is a great starter fluid head and has enough drag for my Canon XA 40 video camera and any accessories I may add to the camera(light, shotgun microphone). Great weight capacity. And with the added 1/4 inch screw mount, I can attach a magic arm for an output monitor. I grabbed it on a B&H flash sale for $300.00, it usually goes for $700.00. I do suggest getting the soft carry case they make for it. If you can’t afford the Sachtler tripods this is a pretty darn good substitute.

Incredible value!

This tripod is great and a very healthy alternative to the much more expensive brands. Here's why... Straight out of the box my first impression was that this tripod looks and preforms extremely professionally. A lot of lower end tripos looks and feel cheap but this one looks sharp and has a nice black finish to it. The head performs very well and manages my FX3 and BMPCC6KPro with no issues when I have them fully rigged out on the tripod. This tripod is a bit on the heavy side which is to be expected for a stage/video tripod that mostly made out of metal. The two things that I love most about the tripod are the stepped counter balance and the rubber feet. The stepped counter balance has a click that you can feel and is audible which is great because it makes adjusting the tilt and pan quick and easy. I know that rubber feet often come standard on this type of tripod, but these seem to be slightly larger than other rubber feet I've used and also have an excellent grip. Something else that's worth mentioning is that the look of this tripod is sleek. Even though the price of this tripod is EXTREMELY affordable It doesn't look like a cheap tripod. I'm a fan of this tripod. I wouldn't recommend traveling with it because of the weight and the size, but otherwise it's definitely 5 stars. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

Is it possible to remove the spreader, in order to allow for lower height and/or when placing the tripod over an object that were the spreader would be in the way?
Asked by: Jonas
Beware! You can remove the spreader, but the legs will not go much wider. There is no clearing in between the ball head base and the upper part of the legs, so it works as a hard stop for those joints. No lock/release function as with many other legs. You will have to consider filing it down

Can I use the same ball head fitting to attach a slider to it; and then place the video head onto the slider?
Asked by: Shane
Not natively. To be able to place the head onto a slider you would need a flat base head. This Magnus requires a 75mm bowl for proper mounting.

What does this have over the 5000 model to warrant the increased cost?

The big difference is the VT-5000 offers Variable Fluid Tilt & Fixed Pan Drag along with a Fixed Counterbalance. The VT-6000 has Stepped Fluid Tilt & Pan Drag along with Stepped Counterbalance. The VT-6000 is more adjustable and customizable to your specific needs, it is a more advanced model.

What specifically is the difference between the "fixed" model and the "stepped" model? What does "stepped" allow you to do, for the price to be double?
Asked by: Larry
The "stepped" model allows you to choose how much drag you want for the tilt and pan. There are 3 levels available. The "fixed" model has one setting for each which cannot be changed. It is usually around the middle setting of the "stepped" model. The drag can also be turned off on the "stepped" model if very quick moves are needed. The counterbalance can be adjusted for light and heavy cameras on this model as well.

Can this be set up for a top- down angle shot in a small space, say on a desktop?
Asked by: Rohan
The tripod is not very small itself, so it wouldn't work really well in a small space. Due to the ball head, it also is not recommended to set it up as a top down shot. We would recommend looking into the photography tripods, that are smaller and are more easily able to be set up for top-down shots.
