When recording live events which run over an hour I've continued having R5 overheating problems, even with the latest firmware. This fan attaches firmly & does an excellent job keeping the camera cool enough to get through recording sessions.

Does this add noise to a vdeoand, can it be used and still use the viewfinder as in a theater, you cannot have the screen lit?

The SmallRig Cooling Fan for Canon EOS R5 Mark II & R5 does add noise and runs at up to about 50 dB on high-speed mode. You can still use the viewfinder while it’s attached, but the fan mounts on the rear LCD, so you won’t be able to fold or use the screen.

The SmallRig Cooling Fan for Canon EOS R5 Mark II & R5 has not been tested with the R6. The tested compatible camera models are listed below:
