Create point-to-point video signal extension with this Crestron DM Essentials 4K60 Wall Plate receiver. It receives an A/V signal over CatX cable via its RJ45 input port and outputs it through its HDMI port, interoperating with a DM Essentials HD-TXU-4KZ Series transmitter to channel video signals up to 4K60 resolution with 4:4:4 color sampling. HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision formats are also supported.
To connect the receiver to a compatible transmitter, a separately available Cat 5e or higher twisted-pair cable is required, carrying 4K footage up to 130' and 2K or 1080p footage up to 230'. The receiver sports two USB-A host posts for extending data signals from peripherals such as mice and keyboards. Mounting directly into a 2-gang electrical wall box, this receiver keeps wires out of sight while receiving signals and power from a connected surface-mountable transmitter.
