Create point-to-point video signal extension with this Crestron DM Essentials 4K60 Wall Plate Transmitter. The transmitter receives a DisplayPort A/V signal via its USB-C input port and outputs it through its RJ45 port, interoperating with a DM Essentials HD-RXU-4KZ Series receiver for the transmission of video signals up to 4K60 resolution with 4:4:4 color sampling. HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision formats are also supported.
To connect the transmitter to a compatible receiver, a separately available Cat 5e or higher twisted-pair cable is required, carrying 4K footage up to 130' and 2K or 1080p footage up to 230'. The transmitter sports two USB-A host posts for extending data signals from peripherals such as mice and keyboards. Mounting directly into a 2-gang electrical wall box, this transmitter keeps wires out of sight while sending signals to and receiving power from a connected surface-mountable receiver.
