Part of the AT-VMx series, this particular cartridge is designed specifically for mono records with a 0.6 mil conical bonded stylus for center tracking. Unlike its stereo counterpart, this cartridge's dual magnets are connected for a low-noise, center-focused sound image. To further reduce surface noise, the mono body terminates both left and right channels. Similar to other AT-VMx cartridges, it uses optimized PCUHD copper in both paratoroidal coils, which feature fewer turns than previous versions.
