Part of the AT-VMx series, this particular cartridge features a lightweight microlinear stylus, which is made to trace your record's grooves with incredible accuracy for nuanced sound beyond that of an elliptical or conical stylus. To further boost fidelity, the housing is a die-cast aluminum for lower resonance, and the aluminum cantilever is tapered to lower the mass near the tip for faster transmission.
As with other stereo AT-VMx cartridges, this is designed to closely mirror the cutter heads that make vinyl masters by using the same 90° V-shape configuration to maximize tracking accuracy, channel separation, and clarity.
