As I understood the description, the point of this thing is to hold a phone, even in a case. It doesn't. It will hold as long as you don't touch the phone, or move the camera, but my phone fall off with even the lightest touch. Maybe I have a thick case. The description says strong and secure magnetic ring attachment, not strong and secure magnetic ring attachment unless you have a Pela case.
Very Nice - but be wary of top cold shoe mount

This is a very nicely made magnetic phone mount. However, the top cold shoe mount seems to be oddly sized. I planned to mount a pocket wizard to the top cold shoe mount and I had to force it in, to the point I was expecting it to break.
