QNAP TVS-H1688X External HDD/SSD Reviews

QNAP TVS-h1688X - Outstanding Unit

This unit provides all the bells and whistles. Its performance is exceptional. It can run either QTS or QTS Hero OS and can utilize the ZFS filesystems and has a large list of raid configuration capabilities. My wish list is small for this unit. I would build in eight m.2 slots rather than the two it comes with. I would move the memory slots from under the internal fan to outside of the fan area. My reasoning is that some of the manufactures memory sticks are tall and cannot fix under the fan. There are several QNAP add-ons that can hold eight m.2 chips which I did purchase and added one dual 10G network card. I want to add in ISOV card support for virtualization. In summary this unit is an ideal choice. It allows for a host of configurations and is fully expandable to meet the most demanding needs. You really cannot go wrong with the purchase this unit. It checks every box.

The is amazing

I purchased the device to store some of my work files. There are many features within the program that came with the device. It is also easy to use and does not require prior knowledge. Anyone can deal with it.

All the drives do not need to be added at once for the NAS Enclosure, depending on how the RAID is configured. The enclosure has twelve 3.5" and four 2.5" sized bays for drives.
