Yes, you would be able to connect the HDMI output of the Nikon D300 SLR Digital Camera to the Neewer F700 7" On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor with NP-F750 Battery. The output from the D300 isn't clean so it would not be full-screen and it would show display overlays.

The Neewer F700 7" On-Camera Touchscreen Monitor (B&H# NE66606445) may be used with the Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera (B&H# CAER5). To avoid any misunderstanding, the touchscreen feature of the monitor is used to adjust the settings of the monitor, not those of the camera.
