The onboard 2kVA/1.8kW/120V battery backup keeps your system on during a power outage so you can make necessary saves to prevent file damage. The 9PX2000RTN also comes with the NETWORK-M3 Gigabit network card, which enables full remote configuration and management as well as remote UPS firmware flashing without needing to bring the system down to update.
Segmented, managed power outlets allow you to monitor power consumption at a group level. Two of the groups can be de-powered separately from the others in order to preserve battery power during emergencies and extend runtime for critical systems. Serial ports allow for advanced communication options including remote power on and off and remote on/off functions. All of this is built into a 2 RU standard 19-inch rackmount profile, but tower support stands are included if you want to place it vertically.
The 9PX2000RTN has seven total outlets—one L5-20R to make sure there are no accidental physical disconnects and six 5-20R outlets for general use. Four of the 5-20Rs are grouped into sets of two that can be separately de-powered in an emergency situation to lighten the power load being sustained by the battery.
