Ethernet-Based/LBUS Camera Control
Add Ethernet connectivity and IP workflows to your ARRI LBUS-based cameras and lens control systems with the NIA-1 Network Interface Adapter. Ideal for both cine-style and broadcast setups, the NIA-1 enables Hi-5 control of select third-party cameras and ARRI ECS device control with third-party software and devices.
Camera Control over Extended Distances
When a radio connection isn't a practical option, use two Ethernet-connected NIA-1 units for a simplified camera control system. Examples include running a 300' underwater camera cable to the surface, where a short radio connection takes over for wireless lens control, or using an ultralong fiber optic cable for real-time camera control from outside your venue.
Hi-5 Compatibility
Use an ARRI Hi-5 lens control hand unit and multiple NIA-1 units to control multiple cameras. Compatible applications include plate capture units, 3D, IR, and regular cameras, as well as broadcast setups.
Plug-and-Play Setup
The NIA-1's plug-and-play setup uses network channels to let you simply select the same letter on each device for configuration. For example, an "A" icon for your A camera is outlined on the built-in OLED display until it's linked to another unit. The icons for each of the four ports turn green when those ports are connected to another NIA-1.
Custom Configurations
Combine two NIA-1 units with standard IP network components to create custom setups where control is split between an on-set AC and an off-site DIT or to control multiple cameras simultaneously or in sequence.
LPS-1 Integration
Use the NIA-1 system with the ALEXA 35 Live Multicam System LPS-1's secondary Ethernet tunnel to run an ECS (electronic control system) alongside a standard broadcast system. ARRI stabilizer systems are also NIA-1 compatible, letting you extend live control over great distances.
Durable Form
Each NIA-1 unit is constructed from durable aluminum with a Gorilla Glass panel over the integrated OLED display.
Interface
The two LBUS ports on the NIA-1 are compatible with all existing LBUS cables, letting you easily daisy chain devices. Use the USB-C port to attach a USB-to-Ethernet adapter or a power supply, to link to your phone or laptop to access the NIA-1 web interface, or for firmware updates.
Mounting
- Each of the two NIA-1 units in this set comes with an RRA-1 mount.
- These mounts feature a spring-loaded bracket and a thumbwheel 3/8"-16 screw mount.
- The RRA-1 also provides two M4 threads for attaching a cable clamp or an RMB-3 rod bracket.
