I picked up this hot shoe cover mainly because it had Nikon printed on it and looked like it would offer solid protection. Unfortunately, the fit is a real issue. As another reviewer mentioned, it’s very loose and it doesn’t sit snugly, and even a small bump causes it to start sliding off. If you push it fully forward, it actually goes too far, and the rear rubber section deforms as it rides over the back edge of the camera’s hot shoe. I’m honestly surprised Nikon didn’t fine‐tune the fit better on something this simple. Tested on Z8 and Z9.
