Coming from Elinchrom I was very disappointed to discover three ways in which this trigger is inferior: 1) Switching from TTL to Manual only copies the automatic power setting for group A; other groups are set to some arbitrary value. This is specifically listed in the manual as a limitation. 2) You cannot change the power of all groups at the same time. I read the manual twice hoping for some unintuitive way I missed but I can't find a way. 3) Changes to the power on the strobe (a FJ400II in my case) are immediately overwritten by the remote: you can't just reach for the head you want to tweak, change it, and fire again -- everything has to be changed on the remote, even if there is only one strobe in the group. I might not miss this feature much, though, since adjusting the power on the FJ400II's head isn't as ergonomic as on Elinchrom or Profoto strobe anyway. My skim of the FJ-X3 manual left me with the impression these 3 limitations aren't any better on the alternative. Ergonomically, I find the touch-screen a bit awkward. For example, when I have a group "maximized," switching to another group with a swipe on the left rarely works and I find it less frustrating to back-out and click into another group. The "crown" knob is okay although I wish there was a setting to invert the direction it changes - I always find myself turning it backwards at first. Setup for my Canon R5 was trivial and I do like the small form-factor -- so it works fine -- but I can't deny that I felt some pretty powerful buyer's remorse. I'm using the latest firmware at time of writing (FJ-T1 v1.0.2, FJ400II's v1.0.5). Most of my complaints could be easily addressed in a firmware update but I'm not optimistic.

The Westcott FJ-T1 M Universal Touchscreen Wireless Trigger is very new, and tests are not fully in. It's best to use that on a Canon R1 with the Canon AD-E1 Multi-Function Shoe Adapter, BH #CAOCSAADE1 (https://bhpho.to/3WrP1SN).

Yes, the Westcott FJ-T1 M Universal Touchscreen Wireless Trigger will work on all camera models in TTL except Sony, in which it will only work in manual mode.

The Westcott FJ-T1 M Universal Touchscreen Wireless Trigger is a remote for triggering Westcott flashes like the FJ80, FJ200, FJ400, and FJ800. It can fire other flashes if you can attach the Westcott FJ-XR Wireless Receiver to the Canon 600EX via a 3.5 mm sync cable; then you can use the Westcott FJ-T1 M Universal Touchscreen Wireless Trigger to fire your Canon 600EX.

No, the Westcott FJ-T1 M Universal Touchscreen Wireless Trigger will only work with Westcott light fixtures. To fire a Profoto B1X with a Nikon Z9, you will need the Profoto Connect Pro Remote for Nikon (BH # PRCPN).
