Functionally identical to the VIM-1808, but without an internal clock or word clock input, the VIM-0808 serves as a receive and distribution unit in a LightViper digital audio network, extending pristine audio and control data over long distances via fiber.
Perfect as a drive snake for powering amplifiers, active loudspeakers, or distributed audio zones, the VIM-0808 delivers eight channels of analog line-level and eight channels of AES digital outputs, along with eight analog or AES inputs. Operating at 48 kHz or 96 kHz with 24-bit resolution, it maintains ultralow latency and zero signal degradation over optical cable runs exceeding one mile.
