The Patton Fiberplex VIM-1808 is a professional-grade 8x8 fiberoptic audio transport interface designed for high-performance live, installed, and distributed sound applications. Serving as the master clocking unit in the LightViper fiber transport system, the VIM-1808 provides both clock generation and distribution, enabling precise synchronization throughout the network.
When paired with the VIM-0808, the system functions as a powerful 8x8 bidirectional drive snake for sending audio to amplifiers, powered speakers, or remote locations, while maintaining full audio integrity over long optical runs. The VIM-1808 delivers eight analog line-level and eight AES digital outputs, along with eight analog line-level or eight AES digital inputs, all operating at 24-bit resolution and selectable 48 or 96 kHz sampling rates.
