The Audinate SNMP Support Upgrade adds powerful monitoring and alert-integration capabilities to Silver and Gold Dante Domain Manager (DDM) licenses, delivering the same SNMP functionality available in the Platinum tier. Designed for IT and AV integrators who need seamless oversight across enterprise-scale networks, this add-on turns DDM into a read-only SNMP agent capable of reporting real-time status, changes, and health conditions across Dante domains, devices, services, and licensing.
With SNMP enabled, DDM exposes comprehensive status data through its MIB, giving external SNMP management platforms the ability to poll for system details and trigger alarms or automated actions in response to network changes. DDM supports SNMPv2c, along with two distinct notifications (traps): one for external services and core DDM functionality, and another for domain and device connectivity and health. These traps allow existing NMS platforms to stay continuously aware of evolving Dante conditions.
Configuration is simple and fully controlled within DDM. Administrators can enable or disable SNMP integration, set a community password for secure access, and enter system-level information such as administrator contact details or server location. Notification endpoints—such as enterprise NMS hosts—are easily added with hostname or IP, plus port assignment (typically 162) for incoming traps. Once configured, DDM sends all relevant traps to every endpoint defined.
This upgrade provides a direct path for AV and IT teams to unify Dante monitoring with the broader network health ecosystem, ensuring fast visibility, efficient troubleshooting, and reliable uptime.
