Aputure Quick Dome Overview

The Quick Dome 60 from Aputure is a circular Bowens mount softbox featuring a parabolic design that pairs with the STORM and Light Storm fixtures. The softbox has a reflective silver interior and provides a soft, even light output.

A quick release latch on the speed ring allows users to quickly set up the tension on all 16 steel support rods in seconds, making installation a breeze. The lateral side handle provides easy mounting setup and control and comfort when mounting. When not in use, the softbox folds down flat, making it easy to store in the included carry bag.

NOTE: This dome does not fit Aputure LS300 series LED COB lights.

This is really well built, and makes for a nice easy to travel key for interviews. I will say that the force needed to extend the dome can be a little worrisome. You really have to force it open, but maybe it will get easier with time.

I’ve been using another brand of modifiers for years and thinking what I had was as good as it got. After I tried Aputure, I realized there was something much better out there. The Quick Dome 90 let’s me set up on-location headshots much faster, the reflective material lining the dome is more flexible and durable and finally, the grid is bundled with the modifier and fits perfectly. It’s a win!

The Aputure Quick Dome 90 will not work on the Aputure LS 600c Pro II RGB LED Monolight. The handle in this photo, https://bhpho.to/4u55ZFF, does not allow it to fit on most other lights but the STORM, Electro Storm, and Light Storm fixtures.

The design of the Aputure Quick Dome 90 prevents it from attaching properly on to the amaran 300c RGB LED Monolight. It is made to only work on the STORM, Electro Storm, and Light Storm fixtures. These are some options that will fit the amaran 300c, https://bhpho.to/4nFWMBi.
