7Artisans 6mm f/2 Fisheye Reviews
Fun and cheap lens! Great!
I really just got this because I didn't have an ultra wide lens in my setup yet and wanted one for panoramic shots/prints. I'm just a hobbyist getting more and more into photography, so for my needs it works great! I have not had any focusing issues like another review mentions thankfully. I will always be surprised by how much I can fit into a shot with this lens. Lens distortion is pretty bad, which is to be expected at this focal length, but it's manageable. Especially in post.
A great toy for the price
I picked this up because a 220 degree diagonal fisheye was intriguing, especially at this low price. Overall I am very satisfied. Mechanically the lens is well constructed and feels solid. Optical performance is a mixed bag. It is quite sharp in the center, but the extreme edges are soft, getting better from f4 on but never anywhere near as good as the center. In addition there is heavy TCA at the corners, which is fairly easy to clean up in Photoshop. However these issues are bearable, especially given the price and extremity of this fun little lens.
