This little piece of metal is almost transformative. I Bought it for my GR IV monochrome--without it I kept hitting the EV rocker switch on the side of the camera. This thumb grip eliminates that, plus it allows for even easier one-hand shooting. Plus, it's super sturdy and fits on the camera very securely. My only nit-pick is that it makes the camera a touch less pocketable, but that's unavoidable if you want the benefits which this grip provides.
