The FJ400 II is the brand's fastest 400Ws monolight. The second generation of the FJ400 recycles in 0.01-0.9 sec, ensuring speed and reliability. The FJ400 II features an improved 30W bi-color LED modeling light, a Freeze mode, and flexible AC/DC power options, thanks to its FJ Pro battery, which provides up to 550 full-power flashes. The FJ400 II is a compact and rapid strobe lighting solution with little weight at 5.3 lb for great portability.
Creative Mask Mode

Each included FJ Pro battery has LED status indicators to keep you apprised of remaining power. Users can also decide to purchase the separately available FJ ProMax battery to achieve a higher number of full-power flashes. The shared battery compatibility eliminates the need for multiple power solutions, while a convenient AC trickle-charge functionality ensures uninterrupted performance during extended sessions.
Bi-Color LED Modeling Lights
- The FJ250 has a 12W LED modeling light with bi-color adjustability from 2700 to 6500K, which allows easy framing and composition for more professional results.
- The FJ400 II features an upgraded 30W LED modeling light with the same bi-color adjustability.
Mounting & Firmware Updates
These monolights have a Bowens S front and come with a 5/8" tilting bracket to mount on separately available light stands, as well as 9mm umbrella receptacles. Also, USB-C ports are present for firmware updates using the included USB-C cables.
Essential Accessories
Separately available accessories across the FJ line system, including shared AC/DC batteries, chargers, and modifiers, are also compatible with the FJ250, FJ400 II, and FJ800, eliminating the need for multiple power and accessory solutions. The included strobes ship with magnetic 5.5" reflectors and a gel set (CTO, 1/2-CTO, window green, and diffusion). Inserts are also provided to allow the use of optional Westcott Rapid Box Switch modifiers. Finally, a backpack is supplied to facilitate storage and transportation.
