I've been using he Transmitter Pro for quite a while now. It's been very reliable, but I've never liked the interface and the size of the size and clarity of the display. The X's display is so much easier to program, with much better better brightness and contrast. If there is one downside at this point, the highest shutter speed for the Nikon Z9 is only 1/2000. It's not a deal breaker for me but hopefully a future firmware update can increase that.

This transmitter doesn’t have speed mode, for leaf shutter lenses. Can speed mode be added via a firmware upgrade?

The Elinchrom Transmitter Pro X (Canon) does not have the option to change the sync speed. It is not really needed for leaf shutters, and the setting on the transmitter should be set to Normal Sync mode. At this time, there is no indication that Elinchrom will add that feature through firmware.

The Elinchrom Transmitter Pro X units work with current Elinchrom lights and older Elinchrom lights that have a Skyport radio receiver built-in or attached.
