Macally IPKBCASE11 Reviews
Very Good, But
Pros: VERY rugged case, and I like the detachable feature, which is both useful, and in one instance, necessary (see below under Cons). Keyboard is outstanding - wakes up very quickly, excellent response while typing, full-featured, and if you’re a fan of the touchpad, indispensable. Cons: quite heavy, which may be a factor if you travel a lot. When the keyboard is attached, one of my favorite games (Pretty Good Solitaire) ran so slowly as to be unpleasant to play. Detaching the iPad from the keyboard solved that problem, so a minor nit. The hinge does not adjust back very far, so, like me, you may have to prop a book or something similar under the front edge so that the viewing angle is better. Overall, I like it better than my previous Logitech keyboard-cases. I prefer the Macally’s response to my typing, and not having to futz with the two batteries that power the Logitech is a genuine plus. The Apple keyboard-case I tried was a joke - light duty, membrane keyboard, would have replaced it if it had come free, which it did not (in fact, dramatically overpriced, IMO). Overall: very good value for the money, and I would buy one again if this one fails, or my next tablet needs a different size.
