With its wide, uncolored sweet spot, the engineer is always in a position to make accurate, reliable mix decisions. Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) circuitry detects when the monitor is no longer in use, engaging an environmentally friendly, power-saving standby mode. With its 8" low frequency driver and 115 dB SPL max output, the 8050B is a great choice for a main monitor in small to medium-sized mixing rooms, and has the power and accuracy to be your final reference point. The included Iso-Pod system ensures complete protection from excess vibration. With a famously sleek and simple aesthetic, combined with quality that you can touch and feel, the Genelec base series showcases widely recognized transparency and quality, regardless of your studio size and monitor application.
- 8" (LF) / 1" (HF)
Amp Power:
- 150W Class AB (LF) / 120W Class AB (HF)
Connections:
- 1 x 3-Pin XLR Female Analog Input
- Tracks the signal input of the loudspeaker and detects if in use
- If the ISS circuit does not find any audio on the input for a period of time, it sets the loudspeaker to a low-power sleep state in which the speaker consumes less than 0.5W
- Shapes the emitted wavefront in a controlled way, allowing predictable tailoring of the directivity (dispersion) pattern
- Limits radiation angle, reducing stray radiation
- Results in excellent flatness of overall frequency response, as well as uniform power response
- Minimizes early reflections and provides a wide and controlled listening area, achieving accurate sound reproduction, on- and off-axis
