Dolby Atmos FlexConnect
Supporting Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, the M7 can be incorporated into a larger, existing surround sound system. No matter where the M7 and other FlexConnect speakers are placed, the technology automatically optimizes sound quality based on their position within the space. Use the M7 as a front left/right or surround with another M7 speaker, an H7 soundbar, and a W7 subwoofer.
Customized to You
Regardless of placement, Room Calibration Pro technology analyzes your space and automatically adjusts audio settings to compensate for the specific audio dynamics of the room.
Real-Time Genre Recognition
As you play your content, whether it be a TV show, movie, or music, the M7 will use real-time genre recognition to recognize it and adjust settings scene-by-scene in real-time. This is done to balance the overall audio, provide clarity, and optimize spatial depth.
LG ThinQ
You can configure and control the M7 using a FlexConnect-compatible TV or the LG ThinQ mobile app. The app lets you manage the M7 and all other Sound Suite devices you own, and provides access to LG Radio+. Radio+ delivers free podcasts, music, and live radio. There's also the MY button on the M7 that you can configure in the app, giving you one-touch access to specific content or features.

M7 Speaker Adds Real Depth and Clarity

I picked up the OLED C5 last year around Black Friday and have been pretty happy with it, but after hearing a lot of good things about LG’s Sound Suite speakers from friends who were at CES, I was curious to try the M7. I didn’t want to mount a soundbar under my OLED, and honestly, I’ve always felt the TV speakers needed a little more oomph—especially for movies and sports. I also stream a lot of music, so I was hoping this could be a solid all-around solution. So far, the M7 has delivered. Music sounds really good—warm but still bright, with nice depth. The up-firing speaker adds noticeable imaging and helps fill the room more than I expected from a single wireless speaker. It doesn’t feel flat or boxed in at all. Setup was painless. I followed the how-to video and prompts in the ThinQ app and had it connected to Wi-Fi quickly. LG definitely got this right. I had the speaker connected to my TV in minutes. One tip: make sure your TV firmware is up to date. Mine wasn’t at first, but that was my hunch—I updated it and everything synced up almost immediately. The Atmos FlexConnect calibration through the ThinQ app was also straightforward. The speaker plays a chime and syncs automatically. I tested it out with a couple of movies and a Lakers game, and the added presence over TV speakers alone was very noticeable. Streaming music is easy too, with both AirPlay and Google Cast over Wi-Fi, which I really appreciate. Overall, this feels like a solid choice if you want to build toward a modular system and you’re already invested in the LG ecosystem. It adds punch where the TV speakers fall short without committing to a full soundbar setup.
