SmallRig 6376 Reviews
Great product! Needs some protection.
How useful can a spotlight lens with gobos be when its small enough to look like a flashlight? That was the question I had. The answer in short is: pretty amazing! The gobos look sharp. Focus allows for precise tuning to really dial in a look. The shutters have a nice clean edge. Considering how portable this little light and its spotlight lens is, I am really impressed. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it comes with a bag, but should come with a case. As it is, the carry bag isn't going to protect the lenses or the shutters. The shutters are not removable (as you would expect), so they are always sticking out of the side. The gobo holder is removable, so it can be protected. The lenses do not come with caps. While it is incredibly portable, you've got no protection while you do. I get it. SmallRig has made this fairly affordable. Its possible that squeezing in a case and lens caps drove the BoM up too much. But they should be offering a cheap add on kit, or even a 3d file so users can print their own. Finally, should you be consider this with the 10C, I would strongly suggest you go with the 20C. Unless you are using this in a room where you have full lighting control, its not nearly bright enough even on its brightest setting. Pay the few dollars more for the 20C!
