To shape and control the beam, the RM 01B includes a diffuser, four-leaf barndoors, RGB filters, and a built-in spotlight lens. Along with its wrap-around capability, the light includes a heavy-duty clamp, a ground stake, and a cold shoe as mounting options, for maximum versatility. Beam angle is adjustable from 24 to 62°, giving macro shooters and creatives precise lighting control in tight spaces.

unexpectedly useful gadget with light controls matching larger units

This little gadget has been on my radar for a while and is not particularly expensive so finally bought one for lighting small items for video. Already have fiber optic lights for strobes but nothing like them for constant lighting of small items. Turns out this thing is much better than I ever expected, not only a flexible arm (although the tension could be firmer because the light does drop position if extended out full length) but it comes with ”small rig” scale mini attachments like barn doors, filter ring, and diffuser. Plus the head pulls in and out for tighter spot control. The color and intensity levels are adjustable, although color isn’t as accurate as the readout so you’ll need a color meter for correct temperature matching. The buttons are a little too small and recessed so are hard to press. Paired with a small soft box, this flex light allows controlled directional light pinpoint spotted onto just where you might want on a very small object. Will probably get the 3 light kit to add the this.

Everything shipped faster than expected. Lights come in a plastic case where all the parts and lights are well protected. The lights are made very well out of aluminum and should last a very long time. I hope to be able to use them in the next week or so.
