It would be good one for a large group photography's like 300 people with a green landscaped without distorting horizontal and vertical lines?
Asked by: abdul
No, it wouldn't be good for your application, except as a novelty item. Given that today 300 people would have to be separated by 6', you would dived 4 into 300, form four sides, and use a panoramic head so's everybody can come in closer. Use of a standing platform for the photographer and tripod would be recommended. Finally, don't readjust for outdoor lighting, as that would be unbelievable.

question

hello,I would like to know whether this lens is compatible with my camera (D7000). I am looking for a wide_angle lens for landscape and auroras borealis. thanks
Asked by: Anonymous
While it is true that this lens can technically be used on the D7000, the crop sensor on that camera will not give you a true 14mm. It would be more like a 20mm lens. Just multiply any FX lens by 1.5 to determine the focal length on a DX camera. This lens will only give you 14mm wide on Nikon's FX cameras such as the D610, D700, D750, D800, D4 etc. Unless you plan on upgrading to an FX camera down the road, you may wish to explore wide angle options for lenses designed for DX cameras such as the D7000. Having said all that, using this lens on a DX camera will put your image right in the sweet spot of the lens (very little distortion) and might very well suit your purposes as long as you don't mind it being more like 20mm wide.

question

I own this lens and am getting blue dots when using indoors and a light source is at a shallow angle. Does a rear filter help with this? I have never used a rear filter.
Asked by: William T.
A rear filter would not likely have any effect on this type of optical phenomenon. It sounds like lens flare happening with the strong light source entering the lens at a shallow angle and reflecting onto the sensor in an unintended way. What would help would be a lens hood, but this lens has it built in. Other than the already-equipped lens hood, you will simply need to adjust the composition of the photo, change the relationship of the lens to the light source, or block the light source from reaching the lens at that shallow angle.

This lens is compatible with D7200 , remove the lens , remove the lens close the aperture to f22 lock it then mount it again , if you still get FEE error something wrong with camera or the lens
