Bergger VCCB810/25 reviews

Prestige Variable CB Warmtone Baryta Paper (Glossy, 8 x 10", 25 Sheets) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality paper Bergger variable CB Warmtone glossy lives up to its manufacturers claims for Dmax and weight. It produces lovely neutral greys with the right amount of gloss in the dark tones. It is a slower working paper requiring more exposure to achieve max black, and needs longer development times. It tones nicely in Thiourea becoming a deep rich brown if one's mix leans toward darker sepia. Dries nearly flat with minimum curl. As others have stated it needs to come down in price and be offered in larger quantities. To my eye, it has no distinguishing difference other than weight to similar Ilford warm tone products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous European Darkoom Paper I have made fantastic contact prints on this BW paper, placing objects, flowers, etc on it in the darkroom and leaving it out for a few hours, then bringing it back into the darkroom, peeking, and shoving it into a light-tight box. If you then go scan it on the computer you will discover wonderful colors (called lumen printing.) Bergger is super high quality and might respond very well to other alternative processes; certainly it makes lovely gelatin silver prints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic color! I use this paper for all my fine art work. I'll use something cheaper for proof prints that will be archived in my files only to be veiwed be me. However, when it comes to making the final piece, the buck stops here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A WONDERFUL PAPER I use this paper for my best prints. The things I like best are the rich tones that I don't get with black and white papers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmtone paper Beautiful warmtone paper- great for selenium toning. Wish they would sell it in larger quantities to bring down the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful tones for right subject matter Good heft ... I was the printer for an Exhibition shot in Cuba. One reviewer seeing the color portion of the show lamented that the black and white couldn't match the beautiful colors the location had to offer.
