This Photoflex Speed Ring is a Series 9000 speed ring that allows mounting of a Photoflex or any other manufacturers' Octagonal or rectangular softbox to a Paul Buff White Lightning Ultra, Ultra Zap, Alien Bees, or X Series monolight. (Identical to Balcar adapter).

The product works as advertised; actually easier to get the soft box rods in than with my old Speedotron rings. I was concerned about some reviews indicating the Einstein ring attachment was not always secure so I drilled a small hole in the Octo connector to attach an aluminum rod that fits into the Einstein umbrella holder. I'm confident my softbox will not separate from the Einstein.
Works fine mechanically. Finish wears off constantly, leaving smudge and paint on everything (fingers, equipement, my lunch...)
