question

How is this case carried? Does it have a shoulder strap or does it have backpack straps?
Asked by: Anonymous
It has a strong web heavy padded shoulder strap. Sturdy and holds a 500mm f/4 or 200-400 f/4 lens with a pro body. I do not put a body on my 200-400 f/4 lens until I am ready to shoot and do not carry a body in this case. It has 2 straps on side and top & bottom to carry tripod, also. Has a sturdy soft handle to carry the lens from top of case.

question

Will this case hold a Nikon 600/4 lens? Do you have room for a teleconverter or a Nikon D810 camera body?

I used this case for the Nikon 600 lens. No room for a camera body. Not sure about a teleconverter.

question

Will this case hold the Nikon 200-500? Is it the best one for the purpose?
Asked by: David
I can not say for certain if the CL-L2 will fit the specific lens you mention, but I offer the followingfor your consideration: I bought the CL-L2 to carry and protect a fabulous and veryvintage Nikon 400mm. It does the job perfectly. The bag is just the right size for my lens (whichmeasures a full twelve inches) with some room left over to include my Nikon D300s inside the well-padded CL-L2. The bag is nicely balanced, comfortable when carried on the shoulder, and I really like the grab-and-go handle on the top. The is extra loose padding inside that wraps nicely around the lens for extra protection. When I fly on commercial aircraft, the bag fits well under the seat or in the bin. I did a lot of bag research prior to purchasing---and this one met all of my needs and has yet to disappoint.

question

what are the dimensions of this telephoto case ??
Asked by: Ralph
Hi Ralph:The case measures 9 inches wide and approximately 20 inches tall. I can easily fit my Nikon D300sand a Nikon 400 mm AI-S (manual) lens in the case. The generous interior padding is movable/removable. This is allows me to pack the CL-L2 with my gear and enough protective padding so everything fits nicely in an overhead bin or under seat when I travel on a commercial airline. It's well-built, and comfortable to carry by the shoulder strap. I like the bag's top handle too--it makes for easy grab-and-go situations. I carried the bag with the above mentioned gear, plus a tripod strapped to its side all over Montana and Idaho this past summer. I can report that I had no problems and can offer no cautions regarding the CL-L2Happy Holidays !Bill

question

Will this case be usable for the AF 300mm 2.8 (the old one)
Asked by: Anonymous
You could use the CL-L2 case for the Nikon AF 300mm f/2.8. The case will be on the bigger size, but it would work.
