Small enough to transport easily and works great for corporate headshots and fill/blocking in outdoor settings. Well made.

Big, Sturdy, and Needs a 10 Foot 'Safe Zone' to Open...

If the flap of a butterfly's wing can have consequences half way around the world, then opening up this bad boy for the first time surely resulted in at least a few severe weather incidences. It is every bit of its 72 length, so make sure pets, small children, and your 4k mirrorless camera on the tripod are not in the 'blast zone'. It's a very sturdy 5-in-1, with a heavy-duty spring steel frame that keeps it flat once opened. I have had it mounted on a reflector arm, outside, in a breeze, and it held its shape great. The gold/black/silver/special silver reversible cover fit well without being difficult to put back on. I am 6'6, and have a pretty good arm span, but I could not collapse it back down for packing unless I held the bottom edge between my feet and then used both hands to twist and push down. Like any collapsible reflector, it takes a bit of practice. Overall, I am very pleased with it, and would get another one if needed.

question

yikes how to fold this back up?
Asked by: Tina D.
Fold it in half like a big taco and twist and it should fold back into it's storage position.

What is the diameter of the folded bag when you put the reflector back in it?
Asked by: Richard
There will be slight variance from reflector to reflector, but about 21 inches (just over 53cm) is right.

Has anyone used this 42x72 diffuser to cut daylight from a person, and if so how was it mounted? I can easily mount my smaller circular one but I am worried this one will be unwieldy. Certainly I will need a longer arm (like the Westcott Extreme), but I envision my C-stand tipping over.

I use these: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1432728-REG/impact_me_129_collapsible_reflector_holder.html Make sure you get the large one and not the standard one. It works well.

question

Are gold and silver facing out at same time? And black and white out at same time? Or are matte and metallic out at same times?
Asked by: Robert Francis S.
Silver and white. Then flip around the cover and it is gold and black. The inside is a scrim

question

I just received my impact 5 in 1 reflector, I feel like it is too tight to get the gold/silver color cover on to the translucent reflector. I had to squeeze the ring holding the translucent reflector, to get the zip closed. Is this normal? Please suggest.

The official B&H does show how to fold the Impact 42x72 . Go to this video on YouTube https://youtu.be/zCmBC8XeEXU. Also don't use your body. If you're folding it right it naturally forms into a circle.
