Folds up small

Folds up pretty small and easily slides into my rolling light stand bag. I use it to hold a backlight for company headshots.

Nice and Low

These stands are nice and low to the ground, with the option of some pretty good height. I wish something with this same type of feet could go much higher, but I suppose the balance and stability would be off. All in all, really nice and compact, easy to haul stand.

Sturdy low profile stand that folds and packs away in a very small package. Great for packing along in my kit when I need a small light stand on location.

Great to put things low and the two socket head is very helpful for rigging lights to the side.

Light, strong, small, and easy to carry. Meant for a small flash or light that I use as a kicker. Well worth the price.

It works perfectly for my needs. I removed the legs, and attached the vertical section to the basket of my mobility scooter.

base works great, riser not so much

If you need a low-base stand for a background light, this product works well. If you need to use the riser, as well, I would look elsewhere. The metal spigot that attached the riser to the base stand is put on with a loose axel-type rivet. The whole riser pivots from the base so it swings up to 8 inches back and forth at the top.

Does the bottom spigot detach from the pole as shown in the picture? Mine appears stuck.
Asked by: Ricardo
Yes, the spigot can be removed and attached to the threaded hole in the leg. Try a bit of force with pliers and cloth wrapped around the spigot.

question

Anyone using this with the Westcott Eyelighter?
Asked by: Luis
No I haven't I would think it would be to low and legs don't spread far enough to have good balance.

question

Can somebody tell me if this stand would hold an Alien Bee strobe or it's designed to be used with speed lights? If it does, does it feel secure, can I trust it? Thanks.
Asked by: Erick A.
I have used it with a Dracast LED500 without any problem but if you need something really solid go for other option

question

What is the diameter of the pole? I'm trying to find a stand to attach a tablet mount. The mount I'm looking at has an adjustable mic stand clamp (up to 1.2 /3.1 cm) that can be mounted on a vertical pole or horizontal boom. I want to leave the option for adding a light panel to the top, which is why I'm looking at a heavier duty stand.
Asked by: Anonymous
The telescoping pole looks to be 7/8 diameter on the lower section and 5/8 inch diameter on the upper.
