Which background is more useful for corporate headshot - white/grey or black/grey?
Color choice is entirely a matter of style, what lighting you use and camera settings. I use a grey only background. Between the camera and light settings I can go from pure white to solid black and with a gel I can get any color I need.

With a tight lens for a single person you can make it work. Its a little too small for groups or full body coverage.

Are there any hooks or straps on the background to use to attach to a (horizontal) pole, like the kind you would use between two stands?
There are 5 pair of 10 straps and 2 loops (one on long side and one on short side) The loop on the long side is opposite one of the pair of straps which is why there is an odd number of strap pairs.
